If you are feeling on the downside of your health, and are looking to give your immune system a little extra boost, then check out these methods of going about that process.

The immune system is what keeps your body healthy, and fights away invading bacteria and virus's that could make you ill. The immune system is the line of defense your body has built into it to help keep you healthy on a daily basis, but sometimes that system needs a little boost to keep you healthy, this is especially applicable during the flue season.

The first method you can go about to try and improve your immune system is getting plenty of vitamin C. This means a glass of orange juice in the morning, an orange during lunch, and another glass of OJ before you go to bed. There are plenty of other juices out there besides orange juice that contain the same level of vitamin C, but OJ has been used for years by health enthusiast to help keep them in a healthy state, and give their immune system a fighting chance. Plus, orange juice has natural vitamin C, which artificial juice creators can't claim with their products. Besides juice, and oranges, there are several vitamins you can take that contain high levels of vitamin C, and many other essential vitamins to help boost that immune system.

Multivitamins are the next method you can use to help give your immune system an extra boost. Multivitamins contain not only high amounts of vitamin C, but plenty of other essential vitamins that not only boost your immune system, but give you more energy, and give you an overall health boost.

Another method that is commonly used to help boost the immune system is taking cold showers. If you can stand the discomfort of the process, your immune system will greatly benefit, and thank you for it. Besides giving your immune system a boost, cold showers are great to give your hair more of a shine to it, and keep from drying out your skin.

Finally, if you are looking for an everyday way to boost your immune system, and also get into better physical shape, try running, and any kind of exercise in general. Getting the heart pumping, and your muscles working help not only get your body to burn fat, and give you higher levels of energy, it helps give your immune system an added boost.

Overall following any of these methods can help give your immune system that added boost, that may help you survive flu season, and remain healthy all year round.
