How I "Bought Time"

Yes, it was Actually for Sale

Dee
After reading the article Million Word Site Drives Page Views, Buy a Stampede for $8, by Sharon Cohen I decided to go to The Million Word Site and check it out. I was quite impressed with this fairly new site, which was launched January 17, 2007.

I wanted to purchase a word for the special price of only $8.00 that would fit in with my website and forum. I am owner and operator of a death penalty site, The Abolishment Movement. I have a forum for posting articles, messages, etc., concerning Capital Punishment.

I toyed with the words, death, inmate, prison, execution, lethal injection, and other prison tag words, but I wanted a word that is used frequently, and can be used for many other topics. I finally decided on the word Time. After all most of us use this word on a daily basis. What time is it? Do you have time to do this? It's about time.Too much time. Not enough time.

So I decided to buy time. It goes with most prison phrases like doing time, time served, court time, and time to die. Time to Die is what I named the page. It was an easy to do purchase using paypal, and registration and set up was also easy. As the site grows my word "time" will be available to be rented out, that is if anyone is interested in "renting time".

I do plan on buying more words, for my other interests, but I know I better get them soon because this site is hot!

That is awesome. I wonder how effective it is. I purchased my name, in the hope that sombody becomes famous with either my first or last name.

"Don't do the crime if you can't do the time" is another phrase that comes to mind. Great word choice.

Reminds me of lyrics from a song I once loved "Time, time, time
    See what's become of me
    While I looked around
For my possibilities ..." ~ ~ ~ ~ You bought yourself one terrific possibility!
