Whether for the holiday season or other present giving celebrations throughout the year, getting your boyfriend or husband to help with gift shopping can be harder than getting him to let you paint his toe nails when you're bored. Even if you are picking things out for his family, friends or boss, many men seen to be under the impression that since they are not good at it, they shouldn't have to take part. Here are three easy ways to change his mind and he might be surprised when he finds himself having fun while hitting the mall with you.

Bribe Him With Food
You've heard the saying that the easiest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Make reservations to go out to lunch at his favorite steak house or bar and grill. This not only gives him something to look forward to while he's going through wine baskets for his co-workers, it gives him a set time that he will be able to take a break from it all. If you're planning on an all day mall scout, make reservations at his other favorite place for supper. Getting fed his favorite foods twice in one day will make the whole trip worthwhile.

Bribe Him With Knowledge
To get your boyfriend or husband to help with gift shopping, tell him that you will show him exactly what you like and what you don't on your trip. Believe it or not, some guys are just clueless and won't get the little hints that you drop him throughout the year. Offer your man the chance to see clearly what he should buy for you as long he helps pick out presents for the others on your list. For extra weight, throw in that you two can stop by the electronics store and he can also show you explicitly what he would love to find wrapped up for him this year.

Bribe Him With His Style of Romance
Make a deal that if he does this wonderful thing for you, you will do whatever he wants for a whole day next. In order for this bribe to maintain its future power, you must stick to your promise. This means that no matter what he wants, whether it be a day checking out every car swap meet in a fifty mile radius, or a day at home that involves you dressing up in what you deem to be a ridiculous outfit, you must grin and bear it all. This will make everything go so much more smoothly the next time that you try to get your boyfriend or husband to help with gift shopping. He'll have no problem picking out presents when he knows that he has the best ones waiting for him afterward.
