16 oz pkg frozen brocoli cuts (cooked to pkg directions)

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts sliced thin

½ red onion sliced thin

4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces drained

½ cup thin sliced celery

2 Tablespoons sesame seed oil

2 Tablespoons soy sauce

2 Tablespoon hot pepper flakes

2 + Tablespoons chopped garlic

½ cup Hoisin sauce (½ of a 7 oz jar)

Rice cooked with chicken stock

chow mein hard noodles

Directions:

Cook rice and set aside, Cook broccoli and set aside. Place sesame oil in a 12" deep skillet with chicken, garlic, and mushrooms saute for 4-5 min add red onion, and celery cook 3-4 min add Hoisin sauce, hot pepper flakes, and soy sauce stir and cook 3-4 min. add broccoli cuts and toss well. Serve over rice and top with chow mein noodles...additional soy sauce and red pepper flakes are to be served on the side.

Notes:

Y'all can also use thin sliced beef or pork in place of the chicken. Nothing else need change. A hand full of pea pods adds a unique texture to this. Don't forget to buy some fortune cookies and brew some good Chinese tea to top this meal off with style. The Queen Goddess tells me this is even good cold the 2nd day in her lunch. This is a portion for 4 folks or 2 folks with leftovers. It does double if you have a large group to serve. I do like to serve a yeast roll with this meal. It takes that special roll to sop up the gravy.

OK the recipe is now yours. Change it if you must. Share the link with all your friends, share the link with all your enemies too. Invite the minister, Priest, or Rabi over for supper. Tell 'em to bring their wives too. Light a candle and put some quiet music on the CF player...You deserve a great meal tonight. Mizpah.
