Do not fret, though, there is a very easy way to get bubble gum out of your clothes, and I'm going to teach you how to do it right now. Here are a few things you will need to get started:
- A washcloth
- A butter knife
- Laundry detergent
- Salt
- A freezer
Okay, so you probably have all of these things in your house already. If you are missing anything, I'm sure you have a neighbor who could lend you one of these things. Now let's move on to getting the gum out of your clothes. Here is how you do it:
Step #1. The first thing you are going to do is freeze the garment that has the gum stuck on it. Just throw your shirt, skirt, etc... into the freezer. You don't have to bag it up or anything, you can just stick it in there. Leave it in the freezer for about 1 - 2 hours.
Step #2. Take the garment out of the freezer. The gum should be rock hard by now. Use a butter knife to scrape the frozen gum off. You'll find that the gum scrapes off easily and that most of it comes out of your clothing.
Step #3. If there is still some gum stuck in your clothing, scrub it out as best as you can using a washcloth, salt, and laundry detergent. Simply pour a little salt and laundry detergent over the gum and scrub it thoroughly with the wash cloth.
Step #4. Wash the garment in the washing machine like you normally would.
When your clothing comes out of the washing machine, all of the bubble gum should be gone. If there is still some bubble gum stuck in your clothing, just repeat steps 3 and 4 until all of the gum is gone. It probably should take no more than two repetitions at the very most. I hope this works out well for you!
