Your Child's Health Starts Now!

I remember the days of my youth when I brought lunch to school. I wish that I had learned about good health and proper eating as a child. I now look back and realize that there were some in-expensive solutions to having good lunches that were healthier and tastier than the Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich gourmet selection between strawberry jam, grape jelly, or orange marmalade. You have the opportunity to teach your child about eating healthy. This article will focus around brown bag lunches and snacks.

Packing the snacks is probably the simplest way to encourage healthy eating for your children. Try and experiment with various snacks to see what your child enjoys. Some good snacks are vegetables, fruits, and breads. Avoid unhealthy snacks. Children love candy, so look for fat-free candies. Ignore 100 calorie packs! Measure the servings because it is less expensive in the long run. What about the lunch?

Now, lunch should consist of protein, carbohydrates, fruit, and a low calorie drink like water or juice. This should give them a good amount of energy to make it through the day. An important note to realize is that a healthy eating schedule comprises the entire day. Here are five great sandwiches to try as a main course with fruit and a drink: Tuna Fish, Chicken and Spinach, Fried Salmon Mozzarella Cheese & Rice, Turkey/Chicken. The possibilities are endless, and these ideas are pretty in-expensive too.

Keep these things in mind. A good diet is essential to a child starting off healthy. Try the healthy snack ideas above. Lunch should be a meal that consists of protein, carbohydrates, fruit, and a low calorie drink. This is a brown bag idea that could reinforce good eating habits for your child's entire life time. I used to be 240 lbs and 43 inches around the waist after an injury. I was able to get down to 165 lbs and 31 inches around the waist within 6 months. I thank God because He made me learn the easiest way to stay in shape.
