How to Build a Micro Niche

Kelly Fleming
Micro niche building on the Internet has become extremely popular. People from all over the world are cashing in on this older trend, but what exactly is a micro niche. Using an example of weight loss as the keyword a regular niche would be more in depth of weight loss like 'weight loss plans.' A micro niche would be even more in depth like 'weight lose plans reviewed.' These types of sites do not attract tons of visitors, but they do attract a targeted audience.

Find your Micro Niche

A good tool to use is the Google AdWords: Keyword Tool. You will be able to see the number of search results monthly. This program can show you if the niche you chose will be able to make you money. I always try to stay above 2,000 exact searches if there is low competition. It is easy to check the competition by going to Google and typing the keyword in search to see what comes up. If you think you will be able to beat out the competition and make it in to the top five spots, then this one is a winner.

Get the Domain and Hosting

It is better to have the keyword in the domain name. I personally like to use dynadot for my domain name purchases and Hostgator for my hosting. There are more inexpensive services out there, but I am comfortable with these ones.

Find Affiliate Programs

Before I build my site I like to look around for affiliate programs through Clickbank. I also use adsense and kontera on my sites. Clickbank allows you to sell products to visitors by redirecting to the merchant site. You will receive a percentage of the sale. Adsense are basic ads people can click on when they visit your site. Kontera is text link ads, these ads are in the text underlined. When the mouse scrolls over them the ad appears.

Set up Site with Affiliates

Placement of the ads is important. You want to sale the site as much as possible. The best way to achieve this is through trial and error. Try moving the ads and aff. Links around to see what performs the best. Before you know it, you will be on your way to making a great income from micro niche sites. After building a few of them, the rest will be a piece of cake.
