The next thing you will want to do is become very familiar with the commercial real estate market in your local area. You should become familiar with what is going on with the local planning and zoning departments, attend local real estate investment meetings, attend chamber of commerce and other networking opportunity events, and keep up with the real estate trends and various commercial opportunities in your local area.
You will need to assemble your commercial real estate investing team of professional advisers including a real estate agent, loan officer, accountant, attorney, and general contractor for repairs and renovations. Although you do need to educate yourself on the fundamentals of commercial real estate investing, your team of advisers is absolutely critical to your success.
Although commercial real estate investing may have a steeper learning curve and require more capital, it also offers great opportunities to build a profitable investment portfolio built on passive income. If you take the time to properly educate yourself on the real estate investment fundamentals and learn how to locate and accurately assess profitable investment opportunities, you can become very successful and wealthy with commercial real estate investing.
