If you are running short on time this Christmas season you might think of preparing Butter Cookie Wreaths as an inexpensive way for a yummy Christmas gift. Christmas giving is such a wonderful way to show our love for each other and what is even more wonderful our gifts don't need to be expensive.

Making Christmas cookies is certainly an affordable idea whether you are making them for friends or neighbors. No longer do we just send cookies over to our neighbor's house on a paper plate - we want to be creative and make them feel special. Therefore, one of my favorites ways is to place my Christmas Cookie Wreaths in a carry-out container from a Chinese Restaurant. These wonderful boxes come in different sizes and many colors. Then tie a pretty bow and you have a very special Christmas gift for that special someone.

Grocery Store List for your Christmas Cookie Wreaths:

(1.) Butter Cookies with a hole in the center from your local grocery store.

(2.) White Flavor Candy Coating

(3.) Shoestring Red Licorice

(4.) Red Cinnamon Candies

(5.) Green Colored Sugar

(6.) Wax Paper

(7.) Baking Sheet

Instructions are as follows:

Line your baking sheet with wax paper.

In a small mixing bowl melt your white flavor candy coating in the microwave - approximately 2 - 3 minutes.

Dip each cookie into the candy coating and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Decorate each cookie with red cinnamon candies, sprinkle with green sugar and make bows with your red licorice.

Happy Decorating!
