Most coin-operated pool tables are owned by entertainment manufacturers that rent them to various establishments for a monthly fee. Purchasing your own table allows you to keep all the dough for yourself at the end of each month. However, you also become liable for all repairs and maintenance, which is usually covered by the manufacturer in the case of a rental contract.
Two major types of coin-operated pool tables exist- manual and electronic. With electronic coin-operated pool tables, the machine will collect the money, show game stats, and do ball collection and retrieval without any outside assistance. They last longer and require less input from you, but, if they malfunction, working on them can be a momentous inconvenience. It might be better to purchase the less glamorous but almost equally functional manual coin-operated pool tables. They use a smaller cue ball so they can tell it apart from all the other balls.
The way this works in the older models is that there is a chute for the cue ball and one for the other balls. That for the cue ball is smaller, so the manual coin-operated pool tables can redirect the balls properly. With manual machines, you can avoid the hassles of electronic ones and save a lot of money with the initial purchase.
Coin-operated pool tables come in as many designs as traditional ones. You can even get customized cue and number balls, custom lighting and triangles and a unique windowed section. Typically, you'll find six-, seven-, or eight-foot coin-operated pool tables, just like with any other pool table. Eight-foot coin-operated pool tables are the most popular variety. Definitely do not purchase a six-foot table for adults. Some people are more picky than others, and tuning into what they like will help you purchase coin-operated pool tables that your target clientele will enjoy.
You don't just want people to come to your club- you want them to leave it with less money in their pockets. That's why you invest in things like coin-operated pool tables. They make your establishment more enjoyable, keep your customers coming back and staying longer, and generally increase your overall profits.
