How to Buy 'cool' Sneakers

It is back to school time and your kids will be begging you to buy them a new "cool" a pair of sneakers. The world of trendy sneakers can be daunting. Here is some information that will make that trip to the shoe store for back to school sneakers a little easier.

'The more traditional sneakers have laces behind the toe of the shoe. This is not the most proper or practical placement of the lacing. The problem is that when the lacing starts too close to the base of the toe of the shoe the stress of lacing the shoe compresses your toe. Sneakers that have with lacing up higher on the shoe and have been wider spacing between the eyelets are much more comfortable for your child's feet when they are on the playground. You will also find that the laces themselves may hold up better.

There are other concerns besides fashion when picking a certain style of sneaker. For example, motion control shoes can handle the stress of kids who weigh more when they are running. They have a larger arch and this cuts down on friction when the child is exercising. These shoes are good for a child who carries a larger frame to wear to gym class.

Stability shoes are sneakers that have a firm stationary arch. These are good everyday sneakers for low impact activities like moving in the halls from class to class. These shoes provide good support for kids who are not doing intense physical activities, but have low arches.

Children who have high arches and a very physical may be best to get sneakers with neutral cushioning. These arches are flexible and support the arch when the child is in motion. The child's high arches is not pushed up all the time, thus making the shoe a great deal more comfortable.

You can purchase even a 'special needs" type of sneaker for somewhere between forty and eighty dollars. Looking for sneakers on sale at large shoe warehouses will save you money. Trendy sneakers will cost you more. Most people can find the right back to school sneakers for around forty to sixty dollars. If your child has no arch at all or really unusually high arch shoes may have to be specially ordered. It may just take you longer to them a comfortable pair. When the selection of back to school sneakers is limited you can expect to pay a bit more for the right pair.
