How to Buy Jeans for My Body Type?

Lisa Karren
We all have our favorite brands and most often we stick to what we think work for us. "How often we analyze what pair of jeans are looking good on us?". With time, our body changes and we still try to fit our self into what we were wearing when were twenty. A pair of good jeans is the one which not only fits you, but also makes you look good in them. And the trick lies in four important parameters of the jeans which are fitting, leg type, rise and wash type of the jeans.

These small little details, at which we hardly pay any attention can affect your look drastically. Like, the fitting of the jeans which can be anything from regular, slim, extra slim to relaxed fit is one of the major factor in deciding the suitability of the jeans for you. For example, an extra slim fit will work wonders on someone with long and lean legs but at the same time, they can be a disaster for someone who carries bulk on the legs or derriere because they highlight the original shape of your legs and bottom.

The leg type of the jeans like boot cut, straight, tapered, wide leg or flare does the balancing act for your figure which plays a major role in maintaining proportions. For say, someone with broad shoulders, wide hips or a big bottom can balance out the figure with flared leg or boot leg.

The rise of the jeans which ranges from low, medium to high is an important factor in acquiring the right fit at the tummy and the seat. Now a days, low rise is making waves everywhere with many people also opting for ultra low or super low rise. But, before choosing such low rise, you should make sure that it will work well for you body type. The rise of the jeans also makes a big difference in balancing out the torso if you are short waisted or long waisted.

The wash type which is very much specific for jeans should not be decided based on your preference for a particular color only. Selecting the right type of wash like a dark, whiskered, light, stonewashed or white wash acts as a wonderful camouflaging tool. The rule of thumb while selecting the right wash type is that, the dark wash is very slimming while light wash can add some volume. So, choose the right wash appropriately depending on, whether you want right volume or not.

Apart from these main attributes of jeans which you can choose easily, there are other brand specific differences which vary as per the brand. Different brands usually have different standards for fitting across seat, hips and thighs. You need to try out different brands to find out these brand specific details, or you can get the ready made knowledge of all this on the intelligent shopping engine MyShoppal.com, which can help you find jeans which will look good on you, fit you right, and go well with your personal style and preferences. It analyzes all the important factors like fitting, leg type, rise, wash type and brand specific details which decide the suitability of the jeans for you.

typically, when you have some female, spouting off on how to buy "whatever" for women, you have (particularly in sizing issues) total verbal diahorrea, its obvious they are all from an entirely different planet to every one else, Why ? because they have nothing of "factual" interest to say, or just do not know (Usually the latter"
Try this!!! A man has a waist measurement of 33", and inside leg of 32", what is the equivalent in a woman's size of the same measurement?
Answer: They don't know! have absolutely no idea? so they just gabble on like a chicken with its head off...
Women operate on these mysterious cabbalistic signs of Size 14, 16, 18 etc, which means anywhere between "small and large " will cover whatever current disaster is occupying the female unrealistic imagination.
No wonder men cannot get on with women and vice versa. Try dealing in a factual world,
Gabble for the sake of gabble instead of some really useful information..
