How to Buy Perfume and Fragrances

The One
Most of the time, the salespeople trying to sell perfume at the perfume counter try to convince you to buy the latest arrival rather than trying to find out what suits you best. However, some new sales techniques allow customers to try out a perfume extensively before they buy. By allowing a customer to sample the fragrance, sales and customer satisfaction will also be increased.

Most experts agree that it is not easy to sell a fragrance. Today's customers love variety. Nobody wants to rotate between two or three perfumes for the rest of his or her life. Variety is the key to success in the modern business scenario. There are various fragrances for various moods. If you are feeling sporty, you got one label and if you are feeling horny, there is another label for you. Fragrance should make you feel at the top of the world. Buying fragrance is more difficult than buying clothes. So before you decide to buy a new fragrance, ask yourself when are you going to use it? People generally prefer to use lighter fragrances during summer while the heavier one suits during winters or after sunset.

The next criterion for choosing a fragrance is to select it by its strength. The ranges vary from the strongest to the weakest. But unfortunately most of the stores do not give samples as these perfumes are extremely costly. Most of the reputed shops today use blotter card for sampling purpose. You can try it and if you don't like the scent, chuck the blotter card. You can try the fragrance on your body if you like it on the paper. Perfumes are generally tested on the wrists, torso and even on the back side of the legs. Remember not to try to test more than three fragrances on a same trip. The best way to choose a perfect fragrance is to try the trial and error method. Keep trying until you find the best. But it could take more than a month to find the perfect perfume for you. Even men are choosy when it comes to perfumes. Nowadays men are more particular about their favorite cologne, after-shave cream, lotions and fragrances. You can now find atomizers for both men and women too. Experts confirm that some of the women like to wear men's fragrances too. Citruses, which were only used by men, now have unisex citruses. The men perfume has now turned to unisex.

Buying the perfect perfume is complete only when you know how to preserve it at home. Experts suggest using a perfume stopper. Don't use your finger as it will contain oil and dust particles. If you can store it in a dark and cool place away from sunlight, it will last for at least 2 to 3 years.
