The following recipe is a very basic recipe. No specific flavor of cake mix or type of mix is specified, so home cooks can let their imaginations reign. I have included quite a few possibilities of variations on the basic recipe to get your creative juices flowing. The best part of this recipe is that if you have a box of cake mix on had, you probably have everything else you need to whip up a batch of cookies in no time flat.
Ingredients
1-18.25 ounce box of cake mix, any flavor
½ cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla.
1 cup mix-ins
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix cake mix, butter, eggs, oil, and vanilla until well blended and smooth. Stir in mix ins. Drop by the spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes in the 375 oven. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie sheet a few minutes before removing to a wire rack to continue cooling.
