The Weight Watchers updated personal points target per day is designed by a formula. As weight is gained or lost, the age or situation changes, or there are activity changes it will fluctuate over the course of being on the program. The formula though is static and doesn't change. This is the easy way to calculate precisely how many points the dieter needs for the course of the day, not including the "flex points".
Also she cannot add multiple numbers per section. For example under "activity", she cannot work in hard labor (six points) and then add another four because they walk a lot as well. Only the six points is added to the final total, not 10.
Gender and Age
Give the point total two points if she is a woman, eight points if he is a man, or 12 points if she is a mother who is currently breastfeeding a newborn. These are the first points that will be collected in the final point tally. If the dieter is between 17 and 26 years old give the total four additional points and three points if she is between 27 and 37 years of age. Two points are given if she is 38 to 47 years old and one point if she is 48 to 58 years of age. No points are given for anything over 58 years of age.
Weight and Height
Weigh the dieter. No matter what number comes up, only use the first two numbers on the scale. So 190 pounds is going to give the dieter 19 points just as if she was nine pounds heavier. If she does not weight a three digit number, she really should not be on a diet and therefore cannot use this point system to calculate their daily points total for Weight Watchers.Check the height next. If she is over 5'10'' tall they will get two points added to the daily total, under 5'1'' she will get zero points, and for everything between those two heights she has one point to add.
Activity
If the dieter is generally doing hard labor most of the time during the day she will have six points to add to the total points. If she walks a lot during the day she will get four points. If they find themselves sitting from time to time she will have two points added. A generally sedate lifestyle will give no points to the total.
At the end of adding all the points per section that gives the WW daily target range of points. There are flex points that are good during anytime during the week. These are 35 points that are able to be used throughout the week.
