How to Calculate Weight Watchers Points

Becca Ramble
As the commercials say, "Diets don't work. Weight Watchers Does". And it does as their participants show significant weight loss that lasts. Their system is all about healthy weight loss that fits into your life, is manageable and lasting. Here is the system you can use at home to calculate Weight Watchers Points for the foods you eat to take your weight loss to the next level!

Take the number of calories in the serving you are eating. This does not always mean the numbers on the nutritional menu on the container but what you are eating from it. If you're eating the entire carton of ice cream - that is likely four to eight servings, not just one J Take the number of calories for your serving and divide by 50.

Next, take the number of total fat grams in your serving and divide by 12.

Add the first two calculations together.

Next calculate the number of dietary fiber grams in your serving and divide by 5. Subtract this number from the first calculation (calories/50 + fat grams/12).

You will have the number of Weight Watchers Points in your food serving.
