First and foremost, make sure to arrive early at the photographer's place to avoid feeling frazzled and rushed. Wear something appropriate; solid colors are good. Fix your hair and makeup before the photographer arrives.
Have a good sleep the night before so that you feel good, and look your best. Drink plenty of fluids the day before and on the morning of the picture session so that you stay hydrated and don't look tired. You want to look professional, not tired and run down.
Always prepare beforehand. Make sure that you are dressed at your best, and your hair looks good as well. If your hands are to be featured in the photo as well then consider getting a manicure the day before. Men should shave a couple hours before the photo session.
Take advantage of any professional makeup services or hairstylists that the photography studio may have to offer. If they do not offer this service then consider going to see your own hairstylist the day before the photo session.
Consider the image you want to project before getting your professional business photo's done. Of course, you may not want to be perceived as casual, informal, formal or traditional. Also consider the image of the company you are representing (if any). If you have noticed pictures of other people that you think represents your look then bring those photos with you to show it to the photographer.
It's important for one to carefully consider their clothing selection. Women might want to choose a suit jacket or a long sleeved dress or shirt. You should avoid short sleeve shirts in professional business pictures as it makes your arms appear bigger and doesn't make you look like a professional. Also, avoid very bold or bright colors. There are a complete no when it comes to professional business photo. Men could wear a business suit in a traditional color such as black, brown, or grey.
These tips should help you look your best when getting your professional business photo done. If you are not satisfied with the end result remember there is always "Photoshop" which can correct any flaws or imperfections.

Post a CommentI beg to differ for the rule that your hands should be in the photo. If it's professional and not a high school yearbook photo then there is noooo need for hands unless your a hand model. Cheeeeezzzzyyyy
