There is no reason to upgrade that old tape deck if you can actually get Mp3 songs to play fine on it right? Can you believe that cassette tapes are now no longer the new thing? Growing up we had all of our favorite songs on cassette tapes and now we can fit a million cassette tapes on one little mp3 player that is usually around the same size of the original tape deck. The steps to get this to work are so simple and many know how already.
However, there is still some out there that had no clue that this could be done. Will this is exactly what you need and how to get it done. So throw away all those old cassette tapes and grab that mp3 player that has a few thousand songs on it and follow the below instructions.
Things you will need:
1. A Vehicle that has a Car Tape Deck that works.
Older vehicles had these & if you are stuck with one you know how painful it is not being able to listen to your favorite songs! Remember we are talking about a cassette tape not a 8-Track Tape. I do not believe they have an adapter for the 8-Track, Maybe that's something to research if you are in need of one. If you do find one then you can probably use the same steps.
2. Tape Adapter
These are around $10 at your local Wal-Mart. They also come with Portable CD Players, but you can buy them separate. They look identical to a tape and have a headset jack wire that comes off the tape, which provides the input for the Mp3 Player.
3. Portable Mp3 Player
These are also very cheap around $20 for a small one to hold around couple hundred songs. Any Mp3 player will work you just need to plug it into the tape adapter.
How to install:
1. Turn Tape Deck On.
2. Insert Tape Adapter in tape deck & hit play.
3. Plug in the Headset jack from Tape Adapter into Mp3 Player.
4. Turn your Mp3 Player on and play a song.
5. Turn Volume up on Mp3 Player & Car tape deck & Jam out like you use to when cassette tapes where new!
