How to Care for Crystals ?

What is a Crystal? Crystals are solids that form by a regular repeated pattern of molecules connecting together. In some solids, the arrangements of the building blocks (atoms and molecules) can be random or very different throughout the material. In crystals, however, a collections of atoms called the Unit Cell is repeated in exactly the same arrangement over and over throughout the entire material.Because of this repetitive nature, crystals can take on strange and interesting looking forms, naturally. When we grow crystals we are separating all the building block molecules into individual units in water and letting them fall naturally into their appropriate place in the repetitive structure as the water evaporates.

How to Care for Crystal?

Our full lead crystal is produced and melted under strict guidelines to ensure the highest quality, with a 30 percent lead oxide content: Crystal Signatures products exceed the world standard. To maintain the beauty and brilliance of your gift, some care is needed.
To clean the crystal, submerge or thoroughly wet with warm water and mild liquid detergent, rinse thoroughly with warm water and then dry with a lint-free cloth. Due to the softness of lead crystal, dust acts as an abrasive and can scratch the surface. With proper care, our crystal can be enjoyed for many generations.

Additional Tips :-
When cleaning collectibles, be very careful. Do not use feather dusters.
Do not allow anyone other then yourself to clean your collectibles.
Never wipe dust off of fine crystal with a cloth or paper towel, it can cause scratches. Just wash and rinse the piece as descibed above.
Always wash collectibles with lukewarm water. Be sure to wash the soap off thoroughly to prevent a dull film from being left behind.
Never put fine crystal or collectibles in a dishwasher. Even stemware from a collection can produce chips or heat related fading/clouding of crystal. This includes glasses, serving utensils or vases
