You'll want to start with the music. The Brady Bunch released a Christmas album, called "Christmas With the Brady Bunch." It's available on mp3 at iTunes and Amazon, and it has also been released on LP record album, CD and cassette formats. Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) does an adorable rendition of "Frosty The Snowman," while former teen heartthrob Barry Williams (Greg Brady sings " "O Holy Night." Other must-hear songs include "Jingle Bells" and "The Little Drummer Boy." The soundtrack can accompany you through the season in your iPod during your holiday workouts or in the stereo at home while you wrap presents and decorate the tree.
Tune in to a classic TV station to see "The Voice of Christmas," the holiday episode of "The Brady Bunch" that originally aired in 1969. In this heartwarming episode, Cindy isn't concerned with her own presents. What she asks Santa for is for her mom, Carol, who has laryngitis, to have her voice back to sing on Christmas morning.
There is more. In the 1990s, the Bradys had one of several reunions. This time, it was in the form of a Christmas movie called "A Very Brady Christmas." It's a modern Christmas classic that can be enjoyed every year. It has the Bradys all grown-up, with Cindy in college and Bobby dropping out of college. The oldest Brady kids, Marcia and Greg, are married with children. Middle children Jan and Peter are conflicted, and everyone comes back to Christmas with a secret. They ultimately discover something really special.
You can enjoy these all through the season, or you may even opt to buy all of the items and put them into a gift basket for the Brady fan in your life. If you want to really go all out with celebrating Christmas Brady-style, get a retro tree and decorate it with ornaments from the 1970s, which can easily be found on eBay, Amazon, and thrift shops. Hold a Christmas party that requires everyone to come as their favorite Brady character or even just a celebrity from the 1970s. 'Tis the season for celebrating your way.
