How to Change Your Entire Life in Six Weeks

So, You Want to Do a 180? Here's How to Get There in Six Weeks

Nick Brown
Did you know that there are only six steps to creating an entirely new car? If you were to create a new car you would be wise to follow these steps. Creative Brainstorming, Sketching the ideas, making a clay model, develop a prototype, build the concept car and then get it on the road.

That's it. Now, how can you use this template to change your ENTIRE life? Let me show you.

Get inspired. Get creative. What do you want? Some people want to be James Bond or some people want to spend more time with their kids. Some may want a new job and some may want to pick up a new sport - like golf for example. So, here comes the fun part. Imagine the perfect life - what is it? What is your perfect life? Do you want to work? Do you want to stay at home? Do you want to be a private detective?

Now, after you have a vague idea of what you want - start writing it down. Sketch out what you want out of this life. Take into consideration that the average life span is about 75. That's seventy-five springs, summers, winters and falls. How old are you? How many of those seasons do you have left assuming that you leave this earth at age 75? If you're 41 then you have 34 summers left in your life. Sketch out what you want out of life and what you're going to do with the rest of your summers and the rest of your life.

So, now you should be into the second phase of car development or rather, your new life. You now have a general idea of what you want and have an idea on paper. You have now gone farther than most people have when it comes to changing their life.

So, now you're at the part where you construct a clay model. You don't need clay but you do need something better than an idea on a paper. Now that you have the idea, let's plot out the goals you want to reach and a timeline. Let's say you want to own your own business. You should plot out what you need and what you need to get it but not only that, you should pick out a time frame in which to complete this task. It doesn't have to be six weeks later, it could be a year. The idea here is that in six week your life will be one hundred percent different because you will be on a completely new path than before.

Now you need a prototype. If you do want to own your own business, see if you can work for free with another entrepreneur for at least a week or two just to see the inside of what it is like to own your own business. If you want to be James Bond, you should be hanging out with a member of the local National Guard during their training and exercises and then go to the shooting range - you get the point.

At this point, you have thought of several ideas, sketched them down on paper, created a clay model and now you've begun the prototype phase. Your car is now looking more like a car or your life is looking a lot different than the one before.

Now, the concept car. You should have a basic design for your new life and start living it. If your new life includes being an above average golfer, you should be playing every day. If your new life is being in shape and eating right, you should be living your new life, trying it out. If you are looking to know what it is like to drive this new life, this would be the time. You should take this new life out for a spin and live this life. If you don't really like it, then fine tune it. Get under the hood (sorry for the bad expression) and see what it is that is wrong and fix it.

Then you're ready for the last element of the process - Get it on the road. You should now be living the life you want and be heading toward your ultimate goal if you haven't already reached it.

It is all about finding what it is that you want and how you want to go about it. You can completely change your life in 6 weeks. No problem. You can also use this to set out a more realistic goal for a more intense change in your life. It's all about small steps, but not too many. You don't want to dilute your goals with too many steps. I happen to like cars which is why I am able to fit my personal goals into a car theme. You can use these goals that are set out like a car development strategy or you can find something else to fit your needs but keep this in mind, keep your goals reachable, create as few as possible and have a plan. This type of planning can help you achieve anything.
