How to Change the Layout of Your Myspace Page

Myspace has been one of the top leading Internet communication devices for years now: allowing you to connect with people you already know, allowing you to connect with people you do not know, enabling you to blog about your day, and much more. Throughout this article we will be looking at changing your Myspace layout.

Changing your Myspace layout is rather simple once you get the hang of it. If you change your layout and later decide you would like to change it to something else - not a problem! You can change the layout as much as you would like.

Finding the layout of your dreams:

First off you need to have a Myspace account (I am guessing you already have one since you are looking into changing the page layout). You do not have to be logged into Myspace at this moment, but just make sure you are able to log in later because you will need to.

Now it is time to find Myspace layouts. Go to www.google.com and type in "Myspace layouts" or "free Myspace layouts". You will receive hundreds of results at this point so just take a quick scroll through of some of the leading pages. Find the layout that fits your style. Now you are going to look for the HTML code for that layout (the site should include it under, beside, or above the layout preview screen).

Bringing it all together:

Once you have the layout you like, log into your Myspace account but do this in a different search window so you can keep your layout handy. Look for your profile picture on your Myspace page and to the right of it you should see a linked text that reads "Edit Profile"; click that.

After selecting "Edit Profile" you are going to select "About Me". Go back to the search window with the layout; copy all the HTML text available for that layout and go back to your Myspace screen. While making sure you are still in the "About Me" section, paste that layout HTML code in the about me text area. If you have a text already entered into the "About Me" box, click the cursor after the last word (don't let the new text and previous text touch) and paste the HTML text in.

You can preview what your page will look like by selecting the "Preview Profile". If you don't like what you see, now would be the time to find a new layout and repeat the steps. If you like what you see and would like to keep it, select "Save all Changes" and Myspace will do the rest.
