You don't have to be. Anyone can change their life, and it really isn't that hard. The only hard part is believing it's possible if you've already come to the conclusion that it isn't.
The main reason most people stay where they are, unhappy in their lives, is because they don't think it's possible for them to do anything to change and make things different. They believe that life has mired them in circumstances they are powerless to do anything about.
Many people who are in this mind frame think that their particular set of circumstances are insurmountable. They also often believe that others who are successful, even under similar circumstances as their own, must have had some sort of "break", perhaps financial help or resources that helped them get farther in the world of success, and that they themselves will never get the necessary break they need in order to move up in life.
For the most part, someone who thinks they can't change their circumstances simply thinks they are unlucky. But luck isn't a necessary ingredient in changing your life. The only way you are going to change your life is to make the decision to change, believe that that's possible, and then DO it.
There are three universal keys to changing your life. There are many books and systems out there written in great detail on how to improve yourself and succeed, but basically they amount to just these three things: belief, creating a plan, and persistence. Each one is integral to your success, and you won't get far with any one of them missing.
Once you believe you can change your life and succeed in whatever it is that you want to do, it's time to make a plan. Envision your life as you most desire it to be. Once you know this, you can start creating specific goals to reach. For example, if you want to make more money, you can look into going back to school and changing your career. Or you can look into what it takes to make money in real estate, or starting a business of your own. Whatever it is, you decide on the outcome and begin researching and brainstorming the various way to reach your mark. As you develop specific goals, both long-range and short-range, you begin to formulate an outline for your overall plan.
Finally, you need persistence in order to achieve your outcome. Changing your life isn't going to be easy. There will be roadblocks and obstacles along the way, no matter what it is you're aiming for. Your car might break down, your financial aid for school might not go through. Things happen. Plan for what you can predict as likely, and when you hit unexpected obstacles, figure out how to get around them. Giving up is not an option if you want to change your life, be happy, and make yourself the success you can be, if you only have the willpower to make it happen.
