"Super Mario World" is one of the classic Nintendo games featuring characters Mario and Luigi released for Nintendo's SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) console. This game is often confused with Super Mario (for Nintendo's N64 system) when searching for ways to alter the look of the Mario head logo in the N64 version. A hidden "easter egg" in the N64 version of the game (an egg is a hidden feature or clue not advertised by the game maker that gamers find through trial and error) allows you to alter the appearance of the Mario head logo.
Wait for the head of Mario to appear on the title screen.
Press the "A" button on the controller and wait for a small on screen cursor shaped like a "hand" to appear. It may take a few tries to get this on screen cursor to appear on the screen.
Use the directional pad to move the hand cursor around the Mario head. Hover it over a section you want to change, hold down "A" while moving the cursor to make a section of the head bigger. Hold down "B" to make the head or sections of the head smaller.
Hold down the "R" button when finished making a change to move the hand cursor to another section of the Mario head to alter.
Try different parts of the Mario head to grasp and move or resize. For example you can shrink Mario so small his hat covers his body. You can pull his mustache in different directions to change its look and angle. You can pull on Mario's ears or cheeks to make Mario's head skinnier or fatter.
Remember to press and hold down "R" after each change to move to the next adjustment while keeping the previous one in place.
Try different combinations to create different looks such as a tiny Mario with a large face or a large Mario with a tiny mustache.
