How to Change Your Password in Your Verizon Wireless Cell Phone

It is very easy to change the password on your Verizon cell phone. If you just want to change it or if someone else has taken over the phone, you don't have to worry that you won't be able to retrieve your voicemails. You can change the password online, but it is a little more difficult to access. It is suggested that you change the password from the cell phone to have the easiest access to it.

How to change your password on your Verizon cell phone:

Step 1: Access your voicemail by pressing the number "1" and holding it down. This will bring your voicemail up.

Step 2: Enter the password that you already use or the password of the person that previously used the phone.

Step 3: You will be told that you either have voicemails or that you don't and then it will give you options to change your personal options. It will tell you to press "4".

Step 4: You will then be given a couple of options to choose from. You should press "2" on this step. This will take you to another set of options.

Step 5: The next option you will choose is "1". After you press this, you will be given yet another option to choose from.

Step 6: On the next option, choose "1" again. That is the final option that you will have to choose from. It seems like a long list, but it really doesn't take much time at all.

Step 7: You will be prompted to enter your new password. It has to be between 5 and 7 numbers. Make sure it is something that you will remember but not something so easy that it can be easily hacked.

After you have followed all the prompts, your new password will be set up so that you can access your voicemail and so that you are more secure. Remember that when choosing your password, you don't want everyone to easily be able to figure it out. Don't use things like the number in your birth date or your social security card number. Choose something that is strong but also something you can remember. It is easy for a scammer/hacker to figure out what your password is if you use numbers associated with something close to you heart. Even using your children's birth dates can backfire on you. If you follow those rules, you should have a secure password that won't allow anyone but you to listen to your voicemails. Never give out your password to anyone, even if you think you trust them. You never know what could happen and that person could use that password to cause trouble for you. Your privacy where your password is concerned is of utmost importance.
