How to Make a Charlie Brown Halloween Costume

Leanne Bloms
Charlie Brown has been very popular over the years. He has touched the hearts of so many over the years, and you can easily create a Halloween costume at home and stand out in the crowd. With a few simple supplies and a little creativity, you can be Charlie Brown.

There are a few supplies that you will need to create your costume. Some of the things that you will need for your costume are a yellow shirt, a permanent marker, blue shorts, yellow socks, and brown shoes. Most of these things you will probably already have at home, if not, you can check thrift stores for deals and save yourself a lot of money.

On the front of the yellow shirt, draw a black zig zag pattern on the front of this. If you are not comfortable doing this freehand, trace it with chalk first before you put the permanent marks on it. Make sure the zig zags are bold and thick to give it the authentic look. This is a fun project for the kids to do when they want to help out with their costume.

Loosen up the laces on your brown shoes. You want the look like Charlie Brown with the shoes untied, but you do not want to trip while walking. It will give you the look if you loosen the laces up. Once you have done the following, you are ready to get into your costume. This is a great costume if you need to wear it more than one time, because it is just clothing and does not take a lot of preparation to get ready.

Fix your hair like Charlie Brown. Part your hair down the middle and give it the effect like it is stuck or slicked to your head. Charlie Brown was kind of a nerdy boy. Get dressed, and you are ready to go. You can even add accessories to your costume if you would like. An accessory that would really dress up your costume would be to carry a stuffed beagle, giving your costume that extra authenticity.

Halloween can be a lot of fun, but you want to make sure that you are dressed appropriately. Because this costume has shorts, you may not want to wear it outside for a long period of time if you live in a cooler climate. Especially if this costume is for a child and they will be spending hours outdoors trick or treating. Enjoy your Halloween!
