How to Get Cheap Air Fares by Using an Air Travel Finder (ATF)

Marki E.
You can spend a lot of time and money calling various airlines, travel agents and browsing travel websites when you are trying to get the best deal on air travel. All this effort may still count for naught if you are unable to reach all service providers and are able to compare fares for the same periods.

One possible solution to your dilemma is to use an Air Travel Finder or ATF. The ATF will help you in getting the information you need so that you can make an informed decision when selecting a travel option.

By using an ATF, you will be able to easily meet the following criterias that are essential when searching for cheap travel:

Peak seasons: Very low fares are available even to popular holiday destinations if the flight is during the off-peak period. Change your travel plans to avoid peak periods.

Flight departure time: Flights leaving very early or very late in the day offer cheaper fares. You will be happy to know also that booking a Wednesday flight can also offer better deals.

Reservations: Make your booking well ahead of your departure date. A minimum of 2 weeks is a must, 3 months is best. By booking early many airlines and travel agents will give very attractive booking discounts.

Popular flights: Avoid making your booking with popular airlines. The least popular airlines are the most willing to offer discounts as they must make the flight whether it is fully booked or not. In order to reduce their costs even marginally, they will generally offer lower fares. But beware; some of the airlines may be unpopular for a very good reason. You could find yourself stuck in an out-of-the-way place for days on end while your cheap airline is trying to get a plane to take you onwards!

Club membership: You may be able to get some discounts through membership of some clubs. Check all the clubs that you are a member of to find out if they have a discount arrangement with an airline or travel agency.

Travel packages: By booking all your travel requirements with one organization, airline, car rental and hotel, you get very good discounts.

Indirect flight: The most expensive flight is the one which takes the least amount of time, the direct flight. If you can include a stopover or two on your trip, your fare can be drastically reduced.

Shopping around: Check as many airlines and travel agencies as you can. This can be best done by using travel finder organizations. This will get you all the information from all airlines quickly and easily.

With the ATF, your search for the most affordable airfare need not take you the whole day nor be an arduous task. So make your life easy by using an air travel finder whenever you are booking a flight.
