Finally, I am full and say I am done. I get up to get my Diet Coke from the old fridge, and he asks me to have another. I politely say, "No, thank you, but I am through." He continues to push the issue, and I finally say, "No I don't want anymore!" Lo and behold; I come back from the fridge, cold drink in hand, everything is great (so I think), I sit down and on the table is this cracker on top of the cheese lid with a heart shaped in cheese.
You see now that the one I swore "no" to was the one I needed the most. The smaller, gentler, kinder things in life are what keep me going. What have you done to let someone know you care? It's never a bad time to assure that special someone that you are there for them. Also opening my eyes; maybe we shouldn't be so black and white, and quick to say no!

OMG - I used to eat a whole can of spray cheese on Wheat Thins. The Diet Coke is too funny. I chased mine with Root Beer. Loved your article.
