Chiretta, or Andrographis paniculata, is an herb that is becoming better known by Western herbal practitioners. It is traditionally used to stimulate digestion and liver activity. It is also known to help with infections. The entire plant is used in remedies. It is known to be an anti-inflammatory, bitter tonic, immune system stimulant, and it protects the liver.

The herb Chiretta has a unusual therapeutic profile. Not only does it support and strengthen the liver, it also stimulates the immune system. This herb will protect your liver from infection and damage from toxic substances in your body. It will also Make your body more able to fight off and oppose infections. This is especially true of viral infections. For this reason, it is used mostly as an immune system enhancer by Western practitioners.

In the past, Chiretta has mostly been used to help liver problems. But, lately, its immune-enhancing properties have begun to make it a key remedy against many types of infections. These can include upper respiratory infections such as colds and influenza.
