When choosing a baby stroller you want to make it is safe for the baby. Check to see if it is sturdy for the area that you will be taking it. You want to make sure that it will last for the many months that you will be using it. Check out the construction of the stroller make sure that it has been assembled with no missing parts and there are no parts that are sharp that may cut or your child. Check the wheels, are they sturdy? Make sure that they will be able to travel many miles. Some of the strollers have locks on the wheels that are handy. This way you can lock the wheels while you are looking at something while out with the baby. As they get to be toddlers they are able to bounce around and move the stroller easily.
Before buying the stroller you want to make sure it is comfortable for you and the baby. Are the handles at the right position for you? If they are adjustable handles you can adjust them to make them comfortable for you. Check the seat to make sure that it would be comfortable for your child. It also needs to be able to be cleaned easily, since more then likely you will be giving your child drinks and snacks while out in the stroller. Pushing the stroller around before you buy it will allow you to see if you turn corners without much effort. The stroller should be able to push easily and if you are in a crowd of people you want to be able to maneuver it around different obstacles. Check to see if it has child straps in so you can strap your child in if you need to. If you are buying the stroller for an infant, check to see if the straps are easy to hook up and use since you will be taking the infant out more often.
Comfort features that you will want to look for in a stroller are a canopy for the baby this will keep the baby cooler and shade them from the sun. This will also make it easier for them to nap when they want to without the sun in their eyes. Storage in a stroller is another thing to look for, you will be taking baby supplies and maybe even buying some things while you are out with the baby. It is real hard to carry packages while trying to push a stroller make sure that it has enough storage for you.
Always test out the stroller before you purchase one to ensure that it is the one that will suit your needs and your child's needs.
