How to Choose the Best Princess Cruise when You Love Sundecks

Susan Brown
We've all run into trouble with the beautiful sun decks on Princess Cruise lines. Problems like not being able to find a free lounge chair because they've all been reserved, or simply not to the right atmosphere going on with either not enough sun, or even the wrong atmosphere in the sense that there was no beauty in the place! No pretty plants, no thoughtful things here and there like an extra towel, cute margarita glass, etc. But not to worry anymore! I have compiled some of the absolute best ships in the Princess line when it comes to simply one wonderful thing... the sun deck.

The Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, Ruby Princess, Caribbean Princess, Star Princess and Grand Princess ships all contain what is called "The Sanctuary"... and it is this little respite that is to be added to all Princess cruise lines starting this year. What is it? It's an adults-only paradise where you can be pampered to the maximum, and be served all your favorite little drinks and snacks while you enjoy the warm sun on your skin.

All 9 ships - the Grand Princess, Star Princess, Golden Princess, Caribbean Princess, Diamond Princess, Sapphire Princess, Crown Princess, Emerald Princess and the Ruby Princess, have pools, hot tubs, bars, and fun entertainment... but when the Sanctuary can be added to the mix, you have a really wonderful ship.

A little trick to choosing your Princess ship is to choose a Grand-class ship. It is on these vessels that you can enjoy shady spots on the sundeck when you want to sip your martini out of sight, with more gorgeous views and not all that "stuff" blocking your view of the ocean.

All of the ships except for the Caribbean Princess, Crown Princess, Ruby Princess, and Emerald Princess, have a remarkable sliding glass roof top in case it starts to rain on your journey. This way, you can still enjoy the popular sundeck without getting wet!

So choose your cruise decidedly - whether you want to be sure to have a private adults-area with all the perks of a day spa, or if you want to be sure to be sheltered from any inclement weather that may threaten your journey! Happy cruising! And don't forget to check out the cruiseline website at www.Princess.com.

Oh,does this ever sound dreamy! This time of the year in the midwest I tend to be sunning myself from behind a window safe from the -0 weather! Thanks for the ideas!
