How to Choose a Cologne to Improve Your Game

What is the Best Cologne to Attract Females?

Choosing the right cologne can be a hassle; there are hundreds of colognes available.

What you need to know about colognes is this: it is a small part of your overall game, but it can change your inner state.

Much like the cherry on top of the sundae, cologne works as a minor aesthetic detail. However, there are three main discussion topics to evaluate when choosing the cologne that works best on you.

First, understand that girls are fickle. If there is anything that the community has tought, it is that girls react mainly to alpha-male behavior (in all its forms), frame and social value. The rest is up to compatibility and rapport. Even then, females can be capricious. Take this information with two or three grains of salt; nothing works all the time, and a lot of Pick-Up is based on your personal mental "state".

Colognes that may smell good at one moment may cause a bad reaction at a different time. Perhaps the cologne reminds her of a past relationship. If she had a good experience, your cologne will remind her of good feelings. Perhaps she had a good relationship with her father; cologne may make her feel more comfortable.

Maybe she had a good relationship in the past and you wear a cologne that reminds her of an old boyfriend - when she smells the same scent on you, let's hope that she associates you as a better boyfriend or lover. Perhaps she had a bad relationship with an ex-boyfriend or her father. This may summon memories of past pain. Either way, choosing a cologne may cause memories to surface - or the scent may do nothing at all. It is up to you to get her emotions going. She will associate your smells with the experiences she shares with you.

Second, the price of a cologne does not determine the effectiveness of the cologne. Cheap after-shaves like Old Spice, Adidas or Afta will give a nice hint of scent to your body. Find out what works - you know the rest.

What you should associate with the cologne is the archetype of girl you want to attract. Simple girls will want simple scents (Old Spice); complex and cosmopolitan girls will want more interesting perfumes (Aqua Di Gio, Issey Miyaki). Some girls will not react to perfumes at all. Imagine what your dream girl would want to smell on a man. Probably not booze and cigarettes.

Thirdly, you can use cologne to put you into "state". This is perhaps the biggest reason to wear cologne - not to attract women directly, but to make yourself feel attractive.

If you are feeling attractive and confident, you will actually be attractive and confident. Because inner game is a major part of pick-up,your internal congruency is going to be the single deciding factor in your ability to meet women.

If you use cologne to capture your best self, you are going to radiate alpha-male vibes. Because of this reason, I recommend cologne for getting yourself into state. Perform your ritual: listen to music, take a shower, do affirmations, watch comedy, feel friendship, and put on your cologne.

Where can you find expensive colognes for cheap? One of the best ways to obtain some of the more expensive cologne brands is by shopping on Ebay. You can purchase samples of the higher-end colognes like Armani, Versace, and Issey Miyake in sample bottles. Usually these bottles will cost between four and five dollars, and have enough cologne to last you several nights. Compare this to buying an entire bottle of cologne ($30-$400) and being stuck with the same scent for an entire year.

What if girls hate your cologne? Don't forget, if girls are not interested in you, they usually just exit your vicinity, or they give you negative body-language. Even if they have something negative to say about you, if their body-language says "I'm interested", they may just be trying to flirt.
