Breadman TR2500BC Ultimate Plus 2-lb Automatic Bread Maker
This is my mother's favorite bread maker. It looks like it would be a very complicated machine, but really it isn't. Before my mother got her bread machine she had never baked any bread that I can remember. The Breadman Ultimate Plus is very easy to use. It bakes many size loaves from 1 pound to 1 ½ pound or a whopping 2 pound loaf. The buttons are easy to figure out. There is a button to add fruit (raisins, nuts, or herbs) and also one to make jam. There is also different button combinations so that you can bake gluten free breads and low carb breads. The price for this wonderful machine runs around $120.00. Amazon has it listed right now for $98.69 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EYBDF8?smid=ASRTEOJPJWOEH&tag=nextag-kitchen-mp-20&linkCode=asn ) .
Cuisinart CBK-200 2-Lb Convection Automatic Bread Maker
The Cuisinart CBK-200 Convection Bread Maker is another that looks like a mini computer that bakes bread. It has so many buttons and options that one would think it would be complicated to figure out how to bake a simple plain white loaf of bread in the thing. It really isn't that difficult to understand. You can bake anything from a simple loaf to bread that could be a work of art. The Cuisinart CBK Convection Bread Maker even has a power failure back up option in case the electricity goes out while baking. There is even a warm cycle to keep the loaves warm for an hour after baking. There is one downside in that it does not let you stop mid cycle or reset after cycle has started. I do suggest looking over the manual that comes with it, but it is well worth the money. This bread machine runs around $129.99 at The Kitchen Emporium (http://www.kitchenemporium.com/cgi-bin/kitchen/prod/01cucbk-200.html ).
Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery 1-Pound-Loaf Programmable Mini Breadmaker
For very awesome bread making experience I suggest the Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery 1-Pound-Loaf Programmable Mini Breadmaker. It is a little pricier than most bread makers but worth every penny. I purchased mine from Amazon for around $200.00 but now it looks like the price is lowered to $178.99 (http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-BB-HAC10-1-Pound-Loaf-Programmable-Breadmaker/dp/B000G32H84). I recommend this bread maker for anyone from the first time bread maker to the expert. This little power house of a bread maker only produces a 1 pound loaf of bread at a time, but taste is everything and each and every loaf that I have made in this machine comes out just as mouth watering as the smell. You can use the Zojirushi BB-HAC10 Home Bakery 1-Pound-Loaf Programmable Mini Breadmaker to make everything from bread to jams and even mixing up cookie dough. It really is a little bakery in your home.
Breadman TR888 Corner Bakery 2-Pound Programmable Bread Maker
The Breadman Corner Bakery Programmable Bread Maker has a lot to offer for a smaller price. I found it priced at $79.88 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Breadman-TR888-Corner-2-Pound-Programmable/dp/B00009KF18/ref=pd_sbs_k_3 ) and this makes a great first timer's bread machine. It comes with the instruction booklet (which I recommend everyone read's it before using on any machine you may choose) and a 1 cup liquid measuring cup and also butter lid and the recipe booklet. It does have most of the bells and whistles that the pricier machines come with such as different crust colors, delay timer for baking, different options to choose from as far as the loaf you would like to bake (white, French, sweet, ect..). This machine also has a setting to make butter. For the price and ease (and if you are looking for a bigger loaf) the Breadman Corner Bakery Programmable Bread Maker is for you.
Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker
The Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker is for the more experienced bread maker. There are tons of different options and settings that do look to be a little confusing if you had not looked at a bread maker before. The manual that comes with it helps to figure out which button does what. It makes 3 different size loaves up to 2 1/5 pounds. If you follow the recipe manual, the loaves come out perfect every time. There is even a rapid bake cycle that will get your loaf from dough to table in 1 hr and 55 minutes. This awesome machine even has a delay timer so you can put all of the ingredients in for a coffee cake and while you sleep it will bake. You will wake up to the sweet smell of fresh baked coffee cake to serve with your morning coffee. The Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker runs for $105.83 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-SD-YD250-Automatic-Bread-Maker/dp/B00005QFL0) and is worth the investment.
