How to Choose a Good Boyfriend or Husband

Tips for Choosing the Right Guy

Norah Faith
Ready to settle.

If you meet the perfect guy who's never been married, has a great apartment, knows how to cook, has good manners and is physically good looking, healthy and financially stable, you may say to yourself "Great! I've found Mr.Right!" But wait, not so fast. Does he want the same things you want? Although he is pretty well off right now he may be willing to blow everything to go on a wild adventure or choose a new career path. You should find out these things. Or you may find yourself rethinking and maybe even breaking up later on. You don't have to bring it up on the first date and you shouldn't. But if things do start to get serious you should find out: Is he in his early twenties? If he is then chances are he's not really settled yet and his life style is a temporary phase. Are you up for going whichever way the wind blows including out the door? looking for many surprises? Because you'll find plenty here!

If he's like the above guy, but in his thirties chances are he's a little wiser and therefore maybe better suited for a long term relationship. If this guy is in to you hold on to him. You may have just found the love of your life.If you find yourself interested in a man in his forties You may consider the following questions. Has he been previously married? Maybe he doesn't want to go down that road again. Does he have kids? Maybe he doesn't want anymore. He may feel he's had his fair share of late nights dirty diapers and the like. You need to make sure you and him are on the same page,or you'll find yourself alone with all the baby work.

Not a romantic.

This type of guy rarely or never initiates meetings outside of the bedroom, is not that interested in a romantic dinner or stroll in the park and while he may consent to a romantic outing, he will never offer. Every girl needs a little romance and if a man really cares about you he'll enjoy romancing you. Maybe he is just hesitant to show his softer side. Ask him what he wants to do or where he wants to go. This may help him to open up and share his thoughts and feelings with you. If he hints to staying in all the time then you should move on. Unless he enjoys watching romantic films with you on the couch. This guy probably wont be around for long.

Doesn't want to go to public places with you.

If a man doesn't want to be seen in public with you he may be having an affair or cheating on his girlfriend and doesn't want to get caught. Or he is embarrassed by the way you dress and present yourself. If it's the latter and you are confident with the styles you choose and your looks then you two have nothing in common. You will only suffer heartbreak from this type of man.

Follow your heart.

His behavior is polished, polite and his words are just right. He holds the door, writes you love poems and just love, love, loves you. There's no reason why you shouldn't be head over heels in love with him too. But love is a feeling not a logic. Consider your feelings and his. This is a good guy who deserves some honesty and respect. He deserves to be loved back so if you're not feeling the love, let him go and find true love. I hope you find yours too.
