How to Clean Your Bathroom Quickly

Clean Your Bathroom While You Get Dressed

Does the thought of cleaning the bathroom irritate you? The sink, the toilet, the wet towels? If you're working full-time and rushing to get ready for work, when are you supposed to do it?

I've found the best time to do it is while you're rushing to get ready for work. Here's how:

1. If you use a cotton ball with some kind of facial skin cleanser or astringent, after you're finished with your face, take the cotton ball and wipe the sinks-the basin and the faucets. The stuff that cleans your face is great for cleaning the bathroom hardware, as well. This way you don't have to use a special cloth or spray cleanser except when you need to do a major cleaning.

2. After you take a shower, use the wet towel to not only wipe up the tub but also the floor. I just step on the towel and walk on the floor with it, wiping it up. Then I toss the towel in the laundry.

3. For hard-to-reach places, you can use your "dirty" socks to dust or wipe around-like behind the toilet. If this sounds gross to you, it really isn't because you're going to wash the socks anyway.

4. Keep a plastic bag in your wastebasket in the bathroom. Every day just remove the plastic bag and empty it into your main garbage. Then return the empty plastic bag to the wastebasket and re-use it.

Doing these few things will make cleaning the bathroom as routine as brushing your teeth. And it won't be such a pain, I promise.

These are excellent tips, Ilene. I never would have thought of cleaning my bathroom as I am getting ready in the morning.
