Warning: Hydrogen peroxide can lighten carpet fibers, so try out the mixture in an inconspicuous area first.

Let the area dry. After the spot has dried, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda on the spot. Take a 1/4 cup of the hydrogen peroxide and mix in a 1/2 teaspoon of the dish soap, pour this over the baking soda and allow the mixture to absorb into the carpet. Using a towel, work the paste into the carpet fibers. Now blot the area with the towel and let dry.
