For anyone looking for an all natural way to freshen your carpets, here's a simple recipe for homemade carpet fresheners. In a bowl mix 4 cups of baking soda or cornstarch with 25 drops of rosewood oil, then add 35 drops of eucalyptus oil followed by 30 drops lavender oil. Break apart the clumps and stir well, then pour the mixture into a shaker bottle. Finally, sprinkle your mixture onto the desired carpets about 15 minutes prior to vacuuming. No matter what fragrance you desire, there are several varieties and mixtures to fit anyone's preference.

Looking for a way to clean your floors while freshening the room at the same time? The answer is simple; combine 15 drops of orange essential oil and 8 drops of lemon essential oil with 1 gallon of hot water and 2 tablespoons liquid soap. This aromatic mixture works on tough dirt and grime while leaving the room smelling fresh and clean.

Here is another great way to save money while adding your own special scent to your laundry. To make your own dryer sheets, simply add several drops of your favorite essential oil onto a towel then place the towel into the dryer along with your clothes and dry as you normally would.

Lightly spray your bed sheets before retiring for the night and enjoy a delightfully calming and soothing night's sleep.
