How to Clean up your MySpace Profile for Spring #1:
Get Rid of unwanted MySpace Friends
If you have accumulated over 50 MySpace friends, chances are that you do not keep up with all of them. When it comes to Spring cleaning and your MySpace profile, some of the friends you had initially will now have to go. This is not mean or rude if you want to keep a fresh MySpace profile for as long as you are a member of this social networking website. There are some profiles that should be removed from your friend's list for different reasons. The first step to clean up your MySpace profile using your friend's list is to locate the profiles that are no longer in use.

These profiles will have a grey box with a red "X" over the area where a photo is usually placed. If this is the case, many of these profiles have been deleted by the user or removed by MySpace. Their place on your friend's list does not really count for anything. By removing them, you will then have an accurate count of friends on your MySpace profile. The second profiles that should be removed to are those that belong to people who are rarely on MySpace and have only been in contact with you once or twice.

These are not real friends, or at least not people who regularly participate in the social networking community. There are not many reasons to keep MySpace friends who you never talk to. Removing them from your friend's list will help to clean up your MySpace profile for Spring. The last group of MySpace friends that you should get rid of is profiles that belong to people who are constantly sending comments and bulletins on a daily basis with topics that are not of interest to you. Some MySpace friends are nice but can be serial social networking hogs that overload all of the updating features with items that are irrelevant to everyone else but them. It is time to get rid of these unwanted friends and clean up your MySpace profile for Spring.

How to Clean up your MySpace Profile for Spring #2:
Get rid of broken links and graphics
Broken links are some of the most annoying features that people come across when visiting your MySpace profile. They are wasting space and may even increase the time that your page loads. A MySpace profile that takes a long time to load is something that many users of social networking websites try to avoid. Therefore, your profile may become less attractive if visitors have to wait in order to leave comments, send a message or just view your page. Broken graphics are not attractive and makes your MySpace Profile look messy.

They can be one of those animated graphics that are hosted by another website or photos. If these items are not being displayed properly, it is time to remove them. When photos and graphics are broken, they show up like a plain square with one red "X" located inside of the frame. Removing these graphics will help to clean up your MySpace profile for the Spring. If you do not want to remove them, find a way to fix the broken graphics so that they are displayed on the page. This also includes the broken links and graphics that are in your comments section.

Update your MySpace profile Photo
While cleaning up your MySpace profile, it would help to post a new image. Doing so helps to keep the profile fresh and up to date, even when you are not visiting this social networking website often. A few of the features that MySpace offers may bring more attention to your new Spring profile. This can help in a lot of ways, especially if you have a lot of friends. Some of your friends may have forgotten that you exist. By adding a new photo and removing the old and stale one, these friends may be inclined to visit your profile again.
