How to Clean Shoes with a Cork Heel

Alicia Bodine
Shoes with a cork heel are very comfortable, but unfortunately, they get dirty easily. You might walk along a dirty path, step in some mud or accidentally spill something on them. You don't want to clean them with just any product, or you could damage the cork. This could ruin your shoes. You don't have to despair, however, as there is a way to clean your cork-heeled shoes and have them looking like new again.

You will need:

Jason Markk Premium Sneaker Solution
Rag

Follow these steps:

Step 1:
Apply some Jason Markk Premium Sneaker Solution to the dirty spots on your cork heels. This solution is made from natural products and not harsh chemicals. It is also biodegradable and safe to use on your cork heels.

Step 2:
Use the brush that comes with the solution to work the solution in to the cork and get the dirt and stains up. Brush the spots from left to right. It may take a few minutes, but all of the dirt and stains will come up.

Step 3:
Wipe the solution and dirt away with a rag. You do not need to use any water. Water would just damage the cork. You can wipe as you are cleaning or wait until you are done brushing all of the spots.

Step 4:
Allow the shoes to air dry overnight. They are now clean and you can go about wearing them as usual.

Tips:
You can use a sheet of sandpaper to sand away any stubborn stains.

You can also use Magic Eraser to erase any tough stains. This product is truly magical and can be used on all types of surfaces, including cork.

Warnings:
Don't wash the cork with soap and water. It will ruin the cork and cause it to break away.
