How to Clean Your Skin and Cure Blackheads with Olive Oil - Clear Skin and Perfect Skin Tone with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a Miracle Worker - No Wonder so Many Mediterranean Women Use it in Their Skin Care Regimen
A couple of months ago, I stumbled across the idea of using olive oil on my face as a cleanser and a moisturizer. Of course, like any good online writer, I don't keep going with an idea until I've done some online research on possible benefits or consequences. That's when I discovered the secrets of extra virgin olive oil and skin care, as well as its use as a cure for blackheads. Used in the skin care regimens of generations of women from Spain, Italy and Greece, extra virgin oil is the one thing you should always have as part of your skin care regimen. And use it every day. In fact, extra virgin olive oil seems to be sound kind of miracle worker, if you really want beautiful skin, and a face with not a single blackhead. I know. I now have one.
How to Use Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Skin Cleansing and to Remove Blackheads
There's nothing easier than cleansing your skin and curing blackheads with extra virgin olive oil. Plus, it's cheap and, if it gets in your mouth, it's healthy for your whole body too. Here's how to do it.
1. Pour a pool of olive oil the size of a quarter into your palm and, with your finger tips, rub it completely into your face. Rub the oil, in circular movements, around every inch of your face, taking particular care on and around your nose, your forehead and your cheeks -- anywhere where you have blackheads. Massage the olive oil in for around 1-2 minutes.
2, Wet a clean face cloth with hot water, as hot as you can stand. Press the face cloth to your face and hold it there until the water goes cold -- around 30 seconds or so.
3. Rinse the face cloth with more hot water and repeat, but this time rub it gently over your face removing the top layer of olive oil. Pat your face dry with a paper towel and that's it.
4. Do this every morning and every night. Within a week, you won't even recognize your own skin.
I started using extra virgin olive oil in this way, to clean my face, just over a month ago. Within three days, the blackheads I've always had around my nose area were completely gone. Within two weeks, the pores on my cheeks, forehead and nose had shrunk so much they were barely visible. My skin had a rosey glow and looked gorgeous. Thanks to extra virgin olive oil that is.
Now, a month later, my skin is still glowing, it's blackhead-free, it's softer and plumper than before and minor marks from years of having acne have almost disappeared. Apparently, many women notice olive oil clears up old scarring -- a combination of the antioxidants in the oil and the moisturizing effect the oil itself has.
I only use extra virgin olive oil from Spain. Spanish olive oil is not blended, like olive oils from most other countries, and is guarantee pure. For a small bottle of extra virgin olive oil from an average Spanish brand, I spend around $4.50 a week but, I don't just use it on my face. Some of it goes on my salads too. Not exactly the most expensive facial cleanser (or salad dressing) you'll ever use. But, I'm telling you, it works.

Post a CommentChristiana, wow, that's strange you've never heard of it. I know several Italians (and many Spaniards) whose families have done this for several generations, and information about it is all over the internet. Try it though. It's amazing. My skin looks phenomenal and that's just after a month of using olive oil as a cleanser.
Strange, I am Italian and I have never heard about that. I will try it though.
Sounds great, however, anytime I use the least amount of oil, any oil, I have breakouts. Thanks for the info.
