If you haven't already applied a prevention spray or any kind of formula to your suede shoes to keep dirt and stains away, you will definitely need to clean them. Now, there are many ways to clean suede shoes without ruining them, but you just have to be cautious and aware of how to do this.
The first step to cleaning suede shoes is to make sure that your shoes are actually suede and not a knockoff product. If you do not do this, then you might be trying to clean your shoe with products that are not made for cleaning that specific material. After you have figured out that it is, in fact, suede, then you must use a suede cleaning block on the affected area. Keep rubbing this block on the area that needs to be cleaned until the dirt is completely gone. Before you apply the cleaning block to your suede shoes, you should apply the cleaning block to a small area that will be unnoticed to make sure that the cleaning block actually works.
After you have gotten the dirt out of the suede material of your shoe, you need to restore the suede material on the affected area. Now, before this step your suede material will look very damaged and ruined. Do not get discouraged as you can easily restore the new look with this upcoming step. With a suede brush, simply brush the nap of the suede to restore the new look of your suede shoe. By brushing the suede with your suede brush, the soft material of the suede will make your shoe look as good as new and will look almost as they did when you bought them.
After cleaning your shoe, you should look into finding a prevention spray to keep stains away from your newly cleaned suede shoes. You do not want your suede shoes to be ruined or get even more dirty than they already were, and using some kind of prevention formula will help your suede shoes keep for years to come.
