Next create a solution in water from your rust remover product. Make sure to double check instructions for mixing potency. You can vary this a bit from the instructions, depending on the amount of rust you have to remove. You will only need enough solution to cover the tin, you could even do 1/2 the amount and clean one side, then flip it and do the other, the choice is yours!
Once your tin is submerged, give it a few minutes of soaking, and then check to see if any of the rust has loosened, if so break it loose and return the tin to the solution so it can continue working on the freshly exposed rust, repeat this as necessary, when complete, thoroughly rinse your tin before use.
