Here's a guide to deleting the Internet history from the Safari browser of the iPod Touch and iPhone.
1. Click the main button to go to the iPod Touch or iPhone's home screen. Scroll around until you see the "Settings" application, and press on that application to start it. The settings menu is the control center of the iPod Touch and iPhone, and also allows you to turn off the WiFi (on the iPod Touch), block access to your device by adding a password (if you find yourself clearing the Internet history all of the time, you might consider turning this option on), adjust light and battery settings, and configure the options for individual programs.
2. Scroll until you see "Safari" in the settings menu and click on it. By the way, you can block accepted cookies on this menu, and turn off Javascript and plugins. This is the menu you'll need to go to every time you want to delete your Internet history. To delete it, press the "Clear History" button at the bottom of the screen.
3. A prompt will appear asking if you're sure. Hit "Yes" to completely delete your iPhone or iPod Touch's Internet history. Remember that once you've deleted the history, there's no way to get it back, so if there are any websites that you need to remember, bookmark them in Safari before clearing your history. Your bookmarks and other Safari settings will not be affected in any way by clearing your history.
4. Note that you need to clear your history often. There's no option currently to simply stop the iPhone or iPod Touch from tracking your Internet history, so any time you visit a website that you don't want curious eyes to see, you'll have to repeat this process. It's pretty quick and painless, though, so you shouldn't have too much of an issue, and as I'd mentioned above, you can always place a lock on your iPod Touch or iPhone's controls if you're paranoid about your history being discovered.

i had the same problem but it wasnt a everyday deleted thing? however i was wondering if sometimes it does it by it self or someone have to do it?
If you used google, then just click the search bar (Dont type anything) and it should show you your recent searches, and at the bottom of the box that it shows you, click "CLEAR HISTORY". (:

I'm having a weird problem with my iPhone - it seems to delete the internet history on its own. It was fine when I was using it overseas but now I'm back in the UK, connecting the phone to my computer and the wi-fi network - it just automatically deletes all history from Safari after a day or two.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!
