How Cleveland May Have Ruined a LeBron Return

An Insight to What May Have Been and What Will Now Be with the Big Three

RH
By now, everyone in the free world has heard about the LeBron James saga and how it played out. There are all sorts of stories about everything that has happened and both sides are still chirping at each other about how horrible the other guy is. The fact that Cleveland has acted so horribly toward their native son may have damaged any chances that they would have had of a King James return. With all the discussion that was going on between the three and the possibility that LeBron would return to the Cavaliers with Bosh and Wade in tow was a big possibility, but that may have been thrown out like yesterday's banana peels after the display Ohio put on.

When you think about all that has gone on in these dealings, you have to see what was really going on. While LeBron wants to be a champion, he really wanted that to happen in Cleveland. Being his hometown team, it was a dream to take that trophy back to Ohio. The Cavaliers front office, however, were content with the post season cameo. This was the big reason that LeBron did not come back to the Cav's. Cleveland ownership gave up on the Finals appearance. They refused to back LeBron with another talent. This was the only criteria for James to stay. Instead they fired a good coach and brought in another under the lie that he would coach LeBron.

Even after chasing James out of town themselves, the owner of the Cavaliers still comes out and publicly bashes him. Add the reactions from the citizens of Cleveland to this and it is no wonder that LeBron now looks happy in Miami. The fans were burning anything having to do with James and tearing up all of his pictures. They spit on him and slapped him in the face for following his dreams and taking care of his business. Not only was the management being childish, but the entire city started crying and lashing out over a game. There were people in tears upon hearing the news. They said that they felt helpless and like a baby because of LeBron's decision. There were even some willing to go to jail for their outrage. This treatment may have sealed their fate when it comes to getting talent.

The fact that LeBron loves Cleveland and wants to take a championship there would make one believe that there was something in the works for after the Heat contracts. With all three of them signing similar contracts and all three wanting to play together, you would think that they may have made a deal to travel to Ohio after the Miami ordeal was over. While LeBron said that they would win 7+ championships, he did not say that they would do that in Miami. With the treatment that Cleveland extended to King James that is not likely to happen now.

Not only is LeBron not likely to go back to Ohio after this ordeal, but other stars may be a little reluctant to travel to Cleveland. Ask yourself if you would work for a boss that would treat you like Gilbert treated James. These words and actions by Cleveland may have chased away any future talent that they may have hoped to sign. There are some that may go there out of desperation or a big enough check, but many of the game's biggest stars will just play somewhere else. After all, why deal with the headache when several other teams will pay you the same for the same job.
