Natural Moisturizer Tips

There are numerous choices when selecting a natural skin moisturizer. Many moisturizing products are based on refined oils. These are plant based oils that have been refined at a high heat. The healing properties of the oil, are not as effective in this state. Refined oil skin care products work initially for a short while. These skin care products do not heal the skin, they only provide temporary relief from dry skin. Here are few tips to help you moisturizer your skin with coconut oil.

Refined Oils

When you are selecting a skin care moisturizer understand what you are purchasing. The order of the ingredients indicates how much of that product is in the product. If the oil is the third of lower ingredient it probably is not worth purchasing. The manufacturers of the product understand that the moisturizing effect is temporary. Their ability to give an immediately, but not long lasting solution helps them with recurring sales. The product may work temporarily, but it is not repairing your skin.

Coconut Oil Benefits

Coconut oil is known for its healing properties internally and externally. Internally coconut oil is an antiviral substance. Consuming a tablespoon of coconut oil in your coffee or tea can give you a jolt of energy, and help keep your immune system working properly. This energy burst will not bring you crashing down like sugar or other stimulants.

Unrefined Coconut Oil

When purchasing coconut oil be sure that the label reads cold pressed or unrefined. This simply means that is was not heated at very high temperatures. At the end of a long day use coconut oil to remove makeup. Apply coconut oil on your face in place of a commercial facial moisturizer. Simply apply a thin layer at night before bed after your have cleansed your face. Continue this application down your neck, and to any other body part you wish to moisturize.

Coconut oil over time can fade liver or age spots. These spots may be on your face, hands, or other areas of the body. Acne can be improved, facial pores will shrink, and wrinkles will smooth out. Spread coconut oil liberally on your feet instead of petroleum jelly based products. Cover with socks and in the morning you will have smooth skin.

Be consistent when using coconut oil for skin. Over time you will start to develop a layer of coconut oil on your skin. Your skin will feel smoother. Chemical free natural moisturizers do not need to be expensive to be effective. Use these tips to help heal your skin with coconut oil

Buy extra virgin coconut oil. You do not want any that is treated with bleach or chemicals. This stuff is the Best for popping corn and you do not need butter, it is crispy and healthy without butter. If your skin is dry this will cure that and soothe your mind.
