How to Make Coffee Lover's Candle

Things You Will Need -

6" h beige pillar candle
clear wax crystals (12 oz package)
1/4 lb. of whle coffee beans
1/4 yd.of burlap
brown embroidery floss
3/4 yd of 3/8" w brown grosgrain ribbon
a small wooden scoop
Newspaper
Coffee can
Saucepan
Aluminium foil
Tapestry needle
A hot glue gun

Coffee Candle

1) (Do not melt wax in saucepan placed directly on burner) Cover your work area with newspaper. Place enough wax crystals in can to immerse candle. (Remember that melted wax will rise when candle is immersed. Place can in saucepan. Heat water until wax melts.

2) Sprinkle coffee beans on a 12" square of foil. Holding candle by wick, carefully immerse candle in melted wax; roll in coffee beans. Allow to dry. Repeat twice.

3) For bag, cut a 91/2" x 23" rectangle from burlap. To fringe bag, pull several threads from each edge of rectangle. Matching short edges, fold rectangle in half. Use six strands of floss to sew long edges together.

4) Place candle in bag. The ribbon into a bow around top of bag.

5) Glue several beans inside wooden scoop; glue scoop to bow.
