How to Combine Blogging and Video Marketing Without Creating Your Own Videos

Jeff Schuman
Many people do not realize they can benefit from online videos even if they do not know how to create a video themselves. You do not need to create videos and in this article we will discuss how you can still benefit from video marketing and blogging without your own videos.

1. Hopefully you already have a blog of your own. If you do not you need to start one and I recommend the way to do that is to host your own WordPress blog.

Website hosting is extremely inexpensive to do and setting up a WordPress blog is not hard either. If you are not comfortable doing this you can hire someone such as the Blog Builder to set you up one for about $34. His website is at WordPressMax.com

2. Once your blog is set up you need to begin adding articles to it. Again if you are not comfortable writing you can outsource that to a blog writer who will write blog content articles for you for about five dollars each.

Be sure and request your blog article target a specific keyword phrase. You should also make sure that the targeted keyword phrase is included in the title of your blog article, and in the first and last paragraph of it.

3. Once you have your blog article written you must post it in your blog.

4. Your next step is to go to YouTube.com and enter your keyword phrase in the search box at the top of the page. This will bring up a list of videos that relate to the keyword phrase your blog article is about.

Look for the embed code on the right sidebar of this page. Copy this code and go back to your blog article and paste it at the bottom of the blog post.

5. Before you social bookmark this blog article preview it to see how it looks on line. As long as everything is presentable you can go ahead and bookmark it to some of the top directories such as the Digg, Propeller, Stumbleupon, and so on.

You can also use a submission site such as Onlywire.com to do multiple bookmarks with one click. You will need to join each directory first.

What you have just done on me is marketed a video through your blog without ever creating one yourself. Plus you created search engine bait because Google owns YouTube and they love to see fresh content with video added to it.

This gives you the chance to get traffic from the search engines, from the social directories, and from repeat visitors who will subscribe to your RSS Feed because you have a great blog with useful videos in it!

Really though, I think that it's all so fascinating. I never knew about pinging ourselves at Digg and Propeller. Is that different from what happens at pingomatic.com?

Please pre-forgive me for not knowing the traffic side of this stuff.

Great tip, Jeff. I have never thought of posting someone elses video into my blog content to get those desired results. I'll be sure to do that from now on. Thanks!
