How to Come Up with a Topic for Associated Content

Judilynn
It's late and I want to write an article for Associated Content. There is no concrete idea in my head of what to write so I am off to look for a topic. How does one come up with a topic? How does one come up with a topic that will get a good offer? How does one come up with ideas that will get page views? All good questions, with endless answers. Here are my suggestions.

Take a look at the news. See what subjects are hot right now. There are a variety of topics out there that are burning up the internet. There is always the health related research you can write an article about. You can write about the latest statistics of education. News sites can give you a host of relevant and up to date ideas for topics.

Take a look at the forums. Associated Content has forum yes, but take a look at your favorite forums. See what the hot topics are. Are you a work at home parent? Find a forum for that and see what people are talking about. If they are talking about it, then they are probably searching for content on that subject.

Take a look at the search engine keyword searches. This is always a useful source of ideas. Look to see what keywords people are typing into Google, Yahoo or MSN search engines. Find one that interest you and expand upon it.

Take a look at Associated Content. Browse the content of Associated Content for ideas. Enjoy writing on health issues? Take a look and see what aspects are not being covered or only have a few articles. Often looking at others articles will give you a new spin on it. You may see gaps that you can cover in your own articles.

Take a look at the political atmosphere. Politics gets hits. People like to know what is going on in the world. They like to hear other people's takes and opinion on the matter. Have local political information that may not be covered as much? These are great ideas for articles.

Take a look at local events. Do you have information on local events? Do you have things in your community that aren't covered in the news or on the internet? People are always searching for local information. While it may not be an evergreen article it will be a service to your community.

Take a look in your home. Product reviews are great ideas for articles. Did you just try out a new tech gadget that you just love? Or maybe you just couldn't stand it. Maybe you tried that new cleaning product. Write an article sharing your opinion and ideas for that certain product.

Take a look at your talents. Do you have a particular talent? A talent others would like to learn from. Maybe you have some great tips on how to play poker better. Maybe you are a Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast. Find an article idea in your interest group. There are others out there that will share your interest.

Ideas are all around you. Any time of the day. Look I just found a topic on writing about topics. You are only limited by your imagination. If you have an idea someone else out there will read it. It is sometimes the strangest of ideas and topics to you that will get the best offers. They may also be the ones that get read the most. Good luck!
