How to Comment 'Smartly' and Increase Page Views?: Writing Essentials Eight
Commenting the Right Way Will Help You Save Time and Get More Page Views. Make the Most of the Comments You Leave on Other's Content
If you comment following a specific 'method', it can help you a lot.
1. Apt time to comment: If you comment on your friends' work at the appropriate time, you will get higher views. Publish a few new pieces of your work (2 to 3) and then, start commenting on your friends' work.
I have noticed that this gets me a very large number of views, as opposed to commenting at random. It could be because, on commenting on friends' work after publishing new pieces, many of them immediately come back to look at the new pieces.
2. Reserve time to network with new people: Irrespective of whether you work or not, everyone has things to do and chores to take care of. Time management is important, even in case of commenting.
Reserve time to add new people to your network. When I don't have the mental energy to write, I add new friends to my list and comment on my existing friends' work.
3. Pay attention to comments others leave: When you are commenting on your friends' pieces, pay some attention to others who leave comments. People who are active on the site, normally leave comments regularly. I generally keep adding these people to my list.
4. Comment because you care: I try my best not to lie, even in my comments. If I dislike an article for some reason, I may not comment. Even if I comment, I will disagree with respect.
Genuine comments are important to forge long lasting friendships with fellow-writers. I have made wonderful friends here, only because I voice my genuine opinion often.
Through your comments you:
- Show support to your writer-friends.
- Help them improve, due to your feedback. (be subtle and not hurtful!)
-Show them you have read their work. Thus, many will get back to you.
