How to Connect with Other Work at Home Mommies

If you are a work at home mom trying to juggle being a mommy and making an income, you probably understand how difficult it is to find time to meet and connect with other work-at-home mommies. Either you just don't have the time, or you really don't know how. There is an easy way to connect with other work-at-home moms, and it is not as hard as you might think. Listed below are some tips on meeting other moms and why it is so important.

Why is connecting with other mothers so important?
Finding and connecting with other moms is very important for a number of reasons. First, it builds self esteem to have other people to talk to other than your children and to chat with people who are going through the same struggles as you are. Also, networking with like-minded people builds confidence as well as given you the ability to share ideas, resources and tips.

Tips on how to connect with other work at home mommies
Let us focus on meeting other moms online first. There are several ways to do this. Work at home forums are a great place to start. These types of places have other stay at home moms (and dads) interacting with one another. Basically, these message boards enable people to share experiences, ideas, advice and general conversation with each other. You can find these types of places by doing a search on the internet. Just look up "work at home forums" or other search terms along this line.

Social Networks are another great place for moms to meet one another. Some popular places are Myspace, Facebook and Yuwie. The best place for moms to connect would be Cafemom or ClubMom. These generally attract mommies only. Once you register for these places, join a few groups on their. This is a great way to introduce yourself and find other people to talk with.

You can also find other work at home mommies on Yahoo Groups. These type of groups are similar to forums in a way. Basically, they are online groups that you can join for free and begin chatting with other people. You can find these groups by search "yahoo groups" with the keywords "work at home", "work at home moms", "parenting", etc. Some of these groups require an administrator approval which generally only takes about a day to get in. Other groups you get immediate access after registration and can begin in on the conversations once logged in.

Finding other work at home moms offline
This is the harder way to find stay at home moms because it involves getting out of the house, which most mothers do not have much time to do this. Usually, they are juggling between taking care of their children and trying to make an income online. If you can give yourself at least a couple hours a week to go out and find other moms out there, this will not only build confidence and boost self esteem, but will also keep you from becoming introverted and afraid to socialize.

A great way to find other work at home mommies or stay at home moms in general is to first search your neighborhood.Chances are, you have a few of them around you and don't even know it. Take your kids for a walk or bike ride and see who is out and about. If you see any other moms out there, stop and introduce yourself.

You can also join different clubs such as a fitness club, yoga club or some kind of crafts club. You know you will find other mommies here. Attending your children's school play or sports game is another great way to connect with other moms.

These are a few ideas on how to connect with other work at home mommies. There are other ways if you get creative. The important thing is to just get out there and start looking. Work at home moms are everywhere. They are all in the same situation and are probably out looking for you.
